The Campione del Mondo decal is probably a reference to 1995, when reigning road world champion Luc LeBlanc was riding a Bianchi for the Le Groupement team. The Zonda wheelst was also introduced in 1995 and still available in 1998. Eight speed Campagnolo Mirage, if OEM, would place it 1995-1998.

I have tried to post pics but being a newbie, am not allowed to add attachments. The rear dropout has Bianchi stamped on it but no serial that I could see.Īnyone able to date it ? I know that the groupset is down the pecking order, but am interest to know where the frame sits/Īny ideas on where the serial could be ? I like recording serials in case of theft. I even removed the cable guide beneath the bottom bracket.
BIANCHI BICYCLE SERIAL NUMBERS SERIAL NUMBER
Headset and cranks are campy as well.įor the life of me I cannot find a serial number anywhere.

Derailleurs (8 speed) and brakes are Mirage. No other lugs.Īll components are Campy - Wheels are Zonda but need to do some more cleaning to acurately ID the hubs. The frame is the Celeste colour, has the brake cable running through the top tube and the downtube transitions to an oval shape where it joins the lug on the bottom bracket. There is sticker 'campione del mondo' - not sure if that is a statement or a model ! It has Columbus tubes and using a translator have found that it is double butted cromoly and made in Corsica. I bought this a while ago from an Italian guy that went to Italy for a holiday, fell in love with the idea of a bike, bought it home and never rode it. Was hoping that someone could help me with my Bianchi.
